To associates of Sheila Arrington,

I am joyfully writing this letter of recommendation for Sheila Arrington. Sheila was an active member of our prayer team for over 10 years. Sheila grew in responsibility over the course of time and was always a dedicated member of the prayer ministry.

Sheila is a dedicated Jesus follower and has been a wonderful part of our church. She was the team lead for the altar prayer team at the 9 am service and maintained relationships with her team members and kept them well organized. Sheila has a great heart for people to know the goodness of God and a passion for all people to grow in faith. In addition to working with her team at 9 am, she also taught a class on prayer on Sunday morning which was well attended from week one until the end. This is significant at our church as we typically see a drop off in attendance at most classes but not at Sheila’s. Her teaching style is engaging and relevant to her group.

Sheila is dedicated to advancing the Kingdom even when personal life circumstances are challenging, for instance when her house had a fire and she was dealing with insurance and financial institutions around that she was still fully engaged in the ministry of the church. Her dedication extended to include many years of being on our Prayer Leadership Team where she served faithfully. She also was a faithful and consistent minister of our Prayer Appointments ministry where she spent about an hour with her prayer partners listening to the prayer recipient and to the Holy Spirit at the same time in navigating and praying over various issues. She also helped to mentor and train many people in both altar prayer and Prayer Appointment ministry.

I heartily recommend Sheila for ministry in your expression of the Kingdom!

Blessings!

Excerpt on Leadership from Steven Unowsky, Superintendent

Richfield, Minnesota

Sheila has a very strong career as a teacher and instructional leader.  She’s committed to urban education and works to expand the horizons of all of the children.  She took on a role as a school leader, oversaw after school and summer programming for multiple years and was instrumental in the success of our program.  She helped to unify our team through her leadership.  Sheila specifically got exceptional results leading our literacy team to create strong unified instruction.  When given any opportunity, Sheila willingly joined or led for the benefit of our students and her team. She is a highly intelligent woman who has a deep understanding of teaching and learning. It was for these reasons she was selected to be a district leader in literacy, where she served the last ten years.
