Whether it’s the start of a new year, a birthday, or a new spiritual awakening, these times prompt us to be reflective about our purpose.

With introspection, we make new goals or brush off old goals, others realign their vision board, many are inspired to take another deep spiritual dive into how they were designed with a purpose.

Let’s take inventory over the last twelve months – pssst, it’s all about purpose!

What is your purpose?

Take this opportunity to wipe the proverbial slate clean and anxiously await your new year full of potential and purpose.

  1. Are you ready to leave the burdens, heartaches, weariness, and worries of 2021 behind you?
  2. Are you ready to take a firm stand, a fresh new look, recharged with determination and uplifted energy required for 2022?

Praise God! As believers, let’s turn to God for direction, wisdom, strength, and power!

Passion Fuels your Purpose

We are convinced that every detail of our lives is continually woven together to fit into God’s perfect plan of bringing good into our lives, for we are his lovers who have been called to fulfill his designed purpose.

Romans 8:28 (The Passion Translation)

So naturally, we pray, we fast, we put our faith in dreams and hopes into action.

Our passion stimulates us with fresh confidence, calm, peace, and purpose. (This is my hope and prayer for each of us!)

Right Decisions Fuels your Purpose

Then you will discover all that is just, proper, and fair, and be empowered to make the right decisions and ascertain your purpose.

Proverbs 2:9 (TPT)
  1. We can find just what is proper and fair for our lives?
  2. God is saying we can be empowered to make the right decisions and know how to walk in our purpose?

I love what God promises to those who are His.

Our first is to love and glorify God. Through a close relationship with Him, we can hear Him and follow His lead.

Whether you look to the right or left, you will hear a voice behind your ear saying that this is how to walk in it.

 Isaiah 30:21 (NIV)

God created us for Purpose

When you think of purpose, something was done intentionally; it was always planned to be. For God created us for a purpose.

The Bible, says before the foundations of the world, God said he knew us. He intentionally and deliberately purposed and designed each one of us…

We were created by God for a purpose and with a purpose!

Just think before there was anything at all, even before the first light shot across the universe; we were there with Him in His thoughts, each of us with Him.

Holding us close in mind, deciding with calculated precision each birth date, each one’s uniqueness, strengths, and abilities were woven perfectly together.

Can we stop right here and PRAISE HIM …this fantastic and magnificent God full of all majesty and glory!

Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails

Proverbs 19:21

God’s plan and purpose for your life will always prevail!

God's plan and purpose for your life will always prevail

God’s plan and purpose for your life will always prevail!

Your values lie at the heart of your purpose, passion, joy, and alignment to what God says about you. It is good we take some reflective prayer time and seek God.

My reflective prayer centers around a few questions as I created goals and pursued vision. If God picked me up right now and placed me in the center of His will what would that look like?

  1.  What passions are stirring within you?
  2. List the kind of people you attracted to help.
  3. List things that you are naturally good at and give you joy.

After this, I submit my plans, goals, and vision to God and trust him to confirm or redirect me.

We were created by God for a purpose and with a purpose!

We were designed to love God and worship Him.

We were designed to grow in the fruit of the Spirit

We were designed to grow in character and become like Jesus.

We are designed to use our talents and develop our gifts to help others and ourselves.

David says “I cry out to God Most High, to God who fulfills his purpose for me.”

Psalm 57:2 (ESV)

This is key in understanding God’s purpose for your life. God has numbered your days and will fulfill every purpose He has for you.

I pray that we grow in God’s purpose for our life. It is one of the fundamental factors of joy, peace, and happiness.

Let us pursue our designed purpose for you are Purposely Designed!
